Well, Well, Well, Boys and Girls!
Our dreams have finally come true. The two hottest producing duos of 2012/2013 have joined forces, this AlunaGeorge X Disclosure colab is spine-tinglingly brilliant and perfectly hits that spot just right. This is the kind of music your great, great-grandchildren will be playing to their un-born children to make them more intelligent. This is quite possibly the greatest collaboration of the last two years, even beating the Just Blaze X Baauer collab of last week, even though that is f**king amazing.
I'm totally in love with this "Future Garage" of late, and I seriously wish for more. And, will 2013 keep bringing these collabs, first we had; Short Stories (KorelessXSampha) then we had the Just BlazeXBaauer and now a collab by these two.
We really have to bow down to the Bass/Music Lords and make a sacrifice of some sort, I suggest Scouse House!
So, Here it is!
Oh, Wait there.
You know how we love Lapalux? Well, he's just given us a sneak peek at one of the tracks off his hotly anticipated release for Brainfeeder... It's called Swallowing smoke, and it goes a little like this!

One To Watch
This week's one to watch is...Murkage. Manchester based "Bass Legends" (Quoting myself there) have gone from strength to strength over the past...well however many years...basically creating the Bass scene in Manchester after a decade of putting on some of the best parties the North West has ever seen!
After seeing these guys a few times last year I can only recommend doing so. However, if you really do want to see them in all their glory there are basically two options. Either, go to Parklife Festival in Manchester, this seems to be the home of Murkage musically and they put on a F**king incredibly sweaty show. OR you just need to attend one of the many parties they do in Manchester annually (Check out the night they do at South in Manchester).
Check this out : Live from Parklife last year!
Basically, you can’t fuck with Murkage. Deal with it. Part rap, part punk, part raver their raw electronic sound is built from spending the nearly a decade putting on some of the best parties Manchester has ever seen.
And finally...They've been likened to a OFWGKTA vibe aswell. Not half bad
This tune was loved by everyone from Mistajam to Kissy Sell Out
In The Jungle!

Just a quick
You know how we were saying how we expected BIG things from Baauer this year...Well he's kicked the year off in a big way. He's only gone and done a collab with one of the most talented producers out of New Jersey, Just Blaze! Oh...and they are touring together. That's the kind of news that makes you cream.
Anyway...sack the chit chat, just wrap your pretty little ears around this beast!

Mid-Week Blues
So sad news guys...Hideout has officially sold out, so if you were looking to go and hadn't bought your tickets. It looks like it's Ebay for you!
So to all of you who didn't get tickets this year, we all need cheering up immensely! So, here's some mid week beauty. We have two tracks to keep you busy till Friday night, the first is by Lancastrian (I guess you could say) House music producers, Bondax. They hit the ground running in 2012 with the release of "Gold" and "Baby I got that" and we are hoping for more releases in 2013...Oh and by the way..."Gold" is forthcoming on "Justus" this month! Keep your ears peeled for that!
My second little treat for you is this...Ab-Soul X Kendrick Lamar 'ILLuminate' F**k this is good, just listen. I'm lost for words!
Tuesday
Check this out!
Within the last few hours Kieran Hebden, of Four Tet fame, has released a compilation of sounds produced by him in between 1997-2001.
You get the mix of pure old school Four Tet and really experimental stuff he's found among the way! There's no point me saying anything else other than...Listen to this right now and download it for your lonely pleasure later on, you know what I mean!

Sunday
Just a quick one!
You all should check out XXYYXX...He's 17/18 been making music since he was like 16. He's influenced by Lapalux, Disclosure and Shlohmo. He is definitely one to watch for 2013 whilst he cements himself further in to the Scene. I expect big things this year from the young Californian.
Here's the video for XXYYXX - About You.

One To Watch
It's Sunday, which means only one thing. This week's One To Watch is...TC4.
The Birmingham based producers have gone from strength to strength over the past year. Being championed by Target on 1Xtra and Plastician on Rinse FM, I can 2013 being a big year for them. The duo have been going since 2010 and seemed to have gained a rather cultish following, I wouldn't say Beiber-esque but within the next couple of years you never know!
Now, it's not very often you get great producer duo's and even even less frequent that you get a male/female combo in the dubstep music scene.
At The BPH we also understand that there is nothing hotter than a female producer, especially when you would class them as hot already. Anyway, I digress.
TC4 are part of a new breed of producers that can perform their tracks live, adding another dimension to seeing your favourite producer by adding live drums to their live sets.
Just check them out performing "LaLaLa" at "The Rainbow" in Birmingham here.
OH, and they recently did a bloody brilliant guestmix for Cameo on 1Xtra,
And finally, for all of you budding MC's out there here is how not to do it!
Friday
L-Vis 1990 Album Clips
Over at The BPH we love anything that's free, however we love it more when a producer we love gives us some insight in to a new project/EP/Album pre-release.
Well, the co-creator of Night Slugs has only gone and give us a little sneak peek at his new EP forthcoming on Clone Records. This is the perfect start to the year...Brand New L-Vis...Yaaaay. Check it out below!
Thursday
So remember how we introduced you to Lapalux the other day? Well he's only gone and give us a teaser track off his album "Nostalchic"which is forthcoming on Brainfeeder in in March.
F**k me this track is good, Lap has gone and outdone himself once again. The dreamy rolling synths and Mount Kimbie-esque drums just make this the ultimate early morning, back at flat, must calm myself down after a massive night tune.
Just give it a quick listen... This is Lapalux - Guuurl
Wednesday
Something slightly different
So not only have we had the wonderful news that David Rodigan MBE (never forget the MBE) is back on the airwaves and spreading his endless knowledge with the audience of BBC Radio 1Xtra, but Apparat has made a surprise announcement.
The German Electronic musician announced on Facebook that he will be releasing LP "Krieg und Frieden" via Mute next month. Give this a listen and tell us what you think!
And Finally, are you running thin on the new music front at the moment? It's Wednesday, and we all know how hard the mid week can be without some brand new music...so here's my treat.
Short Stories
This new collaboration project "Short Stories" between Sampha and Koreless is bloody brilliant. With Koreless' immaculately glitchy yet beautiful production and Sampha's soulfully breathtaking voice, this is the perfect combination. You could call this collab the Steak and Chips of the music world, complimenting each other and still leaving you with the need for more.
The EP will include tracks "On the way" and "Let it go" to be released on the 28th January via Young Turks, you can Pre-Order the 12" already, http://theyoungturks.co.uk/catalogue/view/on-the-way-let-it-go .

Guess Who's Back!!!!
The godfather of Reggae music, David Rodigan MBE, is finally back on the radio. After leaving his Job at Kiss FM because he felt they were "Marginalising Reggae music" he has been announced as a new signing to the BBC Radio 1Xtra line up.
Rodigan announced the news on Twitter today and had this to say: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining BBC @1Xtra focusing on new cutting edge reggae and classic cuts every Sunday from 7-9pm." THIS is the reason you pay your license fee!
And Finally, it seems the Controversy around Skrillex within "the scene" continues...It kicked off on Twitter last night with all the Burial heads proper going for it saying that "skrillex is ripping off burial, that is some bullshit. go back to brostep asswipe" and Zomby coming out with "Now dont ever mention burial and skrillex in same sentence again".

In Skrillex's defence it's not a half bad song, you can definitely say that he has took elements of Burial and put them within the track but he has also added those little bits and bobs that make Skrillex, well Skrillex. You can hear the same synths voices that he has used in so many of his tracks very quietly in the background. Anyway, you can make the decision on whether this is a blatant Burial rip off or a new project for Sonny Moore. I reckon Skrillex may have had enough of making songs full of massive drops and screechy samples and decided..."hey i'll tell you what, I bloody love the stuff Burial is doing. I want me some of that action"
So, go on make your own minds up with these two tracks. The new one by Skrillex - Leaving (which i do love) and this track by the amazing Burial - Truant (My favourite out of all Burial tracks)

Listen to AlunaGeorge "Body Music" + "Thinkin' Bout You"
So AlunaGeorge did a Simulcast today on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and only went and bloody performed brand new track "Body Music" and a ruddy fantastic cover of Frank Ocean's "Thinkin' Bout You".
AlunaGeorge are being tipped for greatness in 2013 and you can see why with tracks like this. Body Music is the perfect mix between sexy and cuteness, and as Trevor Nelson said "People need to bring contraception to your gigs now then?" I'm sure after hearing this song the fans are just dieing in anticipation to get there hands on album "Body Music". To be honest so are we at The BPH.
Oh and you don't really hear of many decent Frank Ocean covers, but A G came out with an absolute cracker. Instead of going down the same old boring Frank Ocean style cover...They did what so many people have failed to do and create an original sounding cover. Just give this a listen!

One To Watch
This week's One To Watch is...Lapalux. 2012 has been a big year for this guy being championed by none other than Rob Da Bank. His Soundcloud is a mismatch of Remixes, Bootlegs, Mixes and Original production all carrying the signature sound of Lapalux...which can only be described as, if Flying Lotus, James Blake and TEED had a baby, and this baby took all the best bits of each adding a little bit of weight behind some of the bass, you will have hit this sound smack on the head.
After discovering Lap only recently I see big things on the Horizon, signed to FlyLo's record label Brainfeeder, he seriously can't go anywhere but up.
OH and keep your eyes and ears peeled for an album this year...but before that, have a cheeky listen to a free download from the Some Other Time EP released on Brainfeeder, October 2012.
Deadmau5 has had this to say about his upcoming tour arrangements in 2013.
"I just saw preliminary renders/movies of the new HUGE stage for the next big 2013 tour, and all I can say is HOLY FUCK. Wow. My god, I've NEVER seen ANYTHING like this in my life, and I can NOT wait to unleash this insanity upon the world. Stoked beyond belief."
Should we be excited? I bloody think so, after the astronomically large light shows of the past few years DeadMau5 seems to be super stoked for this year...All i can say is bring it on Zimmerman!
If this is anything to go by...then bloody hell are the fans in for a treat.
And finally...AC Slater is on a proper streak of actually releasing tracks recently. We've had that Party Animals EP which was out a few months ago and just before the end of the world he released this certified BANGER.

Baauer - Untitled
Baauer....Now what can we say about this Trap God. The Harlem Shake and DumDum Producer is going from strength to strength and 2013 will be no different. The 23 year old hasn't been on the scene for that long, but certainly went from being the best kept secret on SoundCloud to the poster boy of Trap Music. With the promise of newer material and bigger bass to his ever growing fan base...Baauer really is the one to watch of 2013
The Lucky Me Records takeover of Rinse FM had some cheeky little untitled/exclusive tracks and the above track is by none other than Baauer himself...and we have no on else to thank more than Eclair Fifi & The Blessings for hosting the show and Rinse for being the best radio station around!
Get your lugs around the LuckyMe Records X Rinse show broadcast on the 4th January, here.
And finally, if you love 'Baauer' you need to check out the collaboration between, Canadian bass legend, Lunice and, the Omnipresent Glaswegian prince of Bass, Hudson Mohawke on TNGHT ---
Get locked in to this!
